Welcome to the Huntly Arms Hotel
One of the oldest coaching inns to be found in Scotland has all modern amenities while retaining much of its traditional charm and character. The Huntly Arms Hotel was first built in 1432 and has since played host to Jacobite leaders and royalty – Queen Victoria often rested at the hotel on her way to Balmoral.
The Hotel was a favourite amongst Hollywood stars, including Tyrone Powers when he came to Scotland to fish. And it is home to the famous stain-glass Dinnie window, which depicts the world’s strongest man, Donald Dinnie.
Within the picturesque village of Aboyne in the heart of Royal Deeside, the area is famed for its unspoilt beauty. Midway between the sea at Aberdeen and the mountains of the Cairngorm National Park, this is an area with something for everyone who wants to get away from the pressures of a busy world, yet is close enough to commute into Aberdeen.
